New layout

So I was planning on designing the whole thing from scratch, but that's hard. Instead I found one I liked and I've tweaked it a little bit. It's still going through some changes, but it's pretty close. The ground-up one is coming eventually... once I find the motivation to dig into it a bit more. I should be more motivated to do coding-type stuff for fun once I don't have to do it in lab and for class, so probably in about a month.

Anyway, this was a really laid-back weekend. I feel like I was slacking and should have been studying or working on something, but I don't think I had anything I needed to do. Hopefully that was actually the case. I basically just played some games, hung out with people, watched some tv and made some really good peanut sauce. I don't really have a recipe for it, I just looked at a couple online and tried something. It's basically peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, brown sugar, chili powder, and water to get it to the consistency you want... I think it was closest to this one from Food Network.

One more week in this lab, and I have to make a presentation of everything I've accomplished during the rotation on Wednesday. Hopefully I have enough time to do that and practice it a bit so I can know the answers to some of the questions that'll get asked. I think that's the main thing I dislike about this lab... I feel fairly competent on a day-to-day basis, but when I have to make a presentation or if there's any opportunity for questions to be asked, most of the time I don't know the answers, or if I do, I don't know the answers to the follow up questions. In a bio-based lab I know the basic answers by heart by now and I'm learning the answers to most of the harder questions in classes, so I know enough to fumble my way to the answer.

Aww...
I keep my fingers crossed. So that means no Borean Tundra until Wed, huh?

Well, we'll see. I'll probably end up doing most of the work/presentation prep during the day, so I might still have free nights.
