So today was fairly useless work-wise, since (after a lab meeting this morning) I didn't have time or materials to do much. Instead I got to read news online.
First, apparently Wikipedia got annoyed with Scientologists.

It looks like there's a group of them that specifically changed Scientology related articles to push their views. As it says at the end of the article, this isn't the first time it's happened, but it's the first time something has officially been done about it, so it's kind of strange.
Second, I just feel bad for this guy. Apparently he's been taking a specific anti-cancer drug that eventually destroys your fingerprints and got held at the airport for 4 hours because of it.

Apparently the top layer of skin is the only one responsible for fingerprints so the fact that the drug can cause swelling, skin peeling, and blistering eventually leads to losing your fingerprints. I don't really know much about skin layers so I don't get what "first layer" means, because I (and other people I know) have burned off, or otherwise lost, a layer of fingerprint skin and they were still there. Maybe that's just different meanings of "first layer" coming into play. Either way, poor guy, no one wants to be held against their will anywhere for that long when it's not their fault. At least it looks like his cancer's gone.
Anyway, I think it's time to go home fairly soon, so I'll finish this up. The rest of Reuter's 'Oddly Enough' news is pretty cool too. They found a feral girl in Russia and Switzerland's bringing in tourists to certify them as mountain cleaners. Weird stuff, and it looks like the second one actually started as an April Fool's joke.
Have a good weekend!
(especially if I don't post =P)
