Of peanuts and fish.

I was a little disappointed when I was looking around the internet at my normal places today.  There wasn't really anything all that interesting and nothing that seemed to warrant me linking it.  I ran across a short clip on cnn.com reporting something I came upon later on sciencenews.org and at first I thought that was the big news of the day for me.  The problem was that I'd already heard about allergies getting the hair of the dog treatment, so it wasn't a huge deal for me.  Then I stumbled across a "for kids" article on sciencenews.org.  Apparently when you want a pretty cool random science snippet you go to articles designed for kids.

Apparently there's a fish with a head that's mostly clear.  Yeah.  Weird.  Not only that, but its eyes are like looking through paper towel tubes, but it can move them around and look out different parts of its clear head, since they're basically embedded inside.  Very weird.  There's a little movie clip at the bottom of the article but it doesn't show the eyes moving... oh well.  Pretty cool anyway.  I guess this is yet another reason we should be figuring out what's in the ocean.
